Licensing — In Plain English
You own what you make with Thalyn.
This is a plain-English summary, not the full licence — read the complete terms.
The short version — what you can and can't do.
You can
- Use your worlds commercially — no extra fee, no revenue share.
- Sell the game or experience you build from them.
- Export your worlds to Roblox and publish them.
- Modify what you make, freely and however you like.
- Keep the worlds you've made if you refund or stop using Thalyn.
- Use your exported worlds offline, on your own machine.
You cannot
- Resell raw Thalyn assets on their own as a standalone asset pack.
- Repackage Thalyn's built-in library and pass it off as your own.
- Use your output to build or train a competing world generator.
- Claim or trademark Thalyn's base content as if it were yours.
The worlds you make are yours. Full stop.
The moment Thalyn forges a world from your choices, the result belongs to you — to keep, to change, to sell, and to build on. Thalyn takes no cut, claims no share of what you earn, and never hands your creations to anyone else. Your finished worlds are not reused as content inside other people's worlds, and they are not sold.
To keep the tool running and improving, Thalyn keeps anonymous, aggregated records of how worlds are generated — never your finished work presented as someone else's creation, and never anything that points back to you. If you want the exact wording, it lives in the full terms, section 06.
A connection to create. Then it's yours to keep.
Thalyn forges worlds online — you will need a connection and a free account to generate and export. Once exported, a world is yours to keep, offline and onward.
You own what Thalyn generates. The platform's rules are between you and Roblox.
What Thalyn builds for you is yours. When you publish a world to Roblox, you're also agreeing to Roblox's own terms — and you choose the content maturity and age rating for what you upload. Thalyn isn't affiliated with Roblox; that part of the journey is between you and the platform.
Do I actually own it?
Yes. What Thalyn makes from your choices is your creative output. You own it outright — there's nothing more to unlock and no licence to renew.
Can I sell it?
Yes. Sell the game, the experience, or the world itself — commercially, on any storefront that allows it. Thalyn takes no cut and no royalty.
Can I use it in paid client work?
Yes. Build worlds for clients, charge for the work, and deliver the result. Your commercial use covers the work you're paid to do.
Can I export to other engines?
Roblox export ships today, and your exported world is a real file you keep on your own machine. More export paths are on the way. The one thing you can't do is repackage Thalyn's raw library and resell it as an asset pack.
What happens if I cancel?
There's nothing to cancel — Thalyn is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. If you refund, the worlds you've already exported stay yours. An exported world lives on your machine, offline, with or without Thalyn.
What if Thalyn shut down one day?
Your published worlds stay legally yours. The licence on everything you've already made and published survives even if the service were ever discontinued — that protection is written into the terms, not just promised here.
